A festive welcome awaits you at The Close Hotel. Once you have settled into your room, join us in the library or bar for high tea and a selection of our pastry chef's homemade treats.
In the evening, our management team invites you to join them for a Champagne cocktail canape reception with the chance to mingle with your fellow guests. Midnight Mass can be celebrated at one of the churches in Tetbury, just a short walk away, on your return mulled wine and warm mince pies await.
Start the day with a leisurely breakfast. Perhaps spend the morning opening presents or take a walk around the village to build an appetite whilst Chef, David Brown and his brigade, prepare a beautifully presented Christmas Day lunch to be remembered.
In the afternoon, there will be plenty of time to enjoy an old-fashioned board game in the bar, a quiet snooze by the fire or the Queen's Speech while relaxing, in time-honoured tradition, in front of the television. To complete the perfect Christmas Day, a light buffet supper will be served.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast before spending the day at leisure. Take a short drive to Westonbirt Arboretum for a gentle stroll or venture further a field and explore the other beautiful Cotswold villages.
In the evening, the lights are dimmed, the candles lit and the atmosphere is intimate and relaxed as you enjoy an eight-course tasting menu with a perfectly matched wine flight.
A traditional full English breakfast is served. A fond farewell to some and a day to relax for those who wish to extend their stay.

Book Your Christmas Break
All Christmas package rates are per person per stay and based on two guests sharing a double/twin room (unless otherwise stated), including all entertainment & meals stated and VAT at the current rate.
To confirm your Christmas reservation, a 25% non-refundable and non transferable deposit is required and the remaining balance is due by the 1st December 2014. Full payment will be required on any bookings made thereafter. We recommend guests seek appropriate travel insurance in case of any unforeseen circumstances arising causing a need for you to cancel your reservation.
Whilst we normally welcome children, we do not believe that the Christmas break is suitable for those younger then 14 years of age. Adult rate will be charged for those over 14.
