Christmas in the Cotswolds

Christmas in the Cotswolds

Christmas Eve
A festive welcome awaits you at The Close Hotel. Once you have settled into your room, enjoy a delicious high tea served in the cosy bar or library next to one of the roaring log fires ,but do leave plenty of time for a walk around Tetbury afterwards to build up your appetite for dinner!

Start the evening with a glass of Champagne or Champagne cocktail with the management team and fellow guests before enjoying dinner in the Dining Room.

Should you wish, you are welcome to attend Midnight Mass in one of the local churches in Tetbury, and on your return to the hotel mulled wine and warm mince pies await.

Christmas Day
Take breakfast at your leisure and take time to open your presents or enjoy a stroll around the town before Head Chef, David Brown and his team serve up a traditional Christmas lunch.

In the afternoon enjoy a traditional board game in the bar, a snooze by the fire or simply relax in the time honoured tradition of the Queen’s speech.

A hot and cold buffet supper will be served in the evening.

Boxing Day
Enjoy a hearty breakfast and then spend the day at your leisure. Take a short drive to Westonbirt Arboretum for a gentle stroll or venture further a field and explore the other beautiful Cotswold villages.

Return in time to relax and prepare for a magnificent Tasting Menu and Wine Flight.

December 27th
A traditional full English breakfast is served.

A fond farewell to some and a day to relax for those who wish to extend their stay.
