Christmas in the Cotswolds

Christmas Eve
Your arrival at The Swan Hotel will be met with a warm welcome. Once settled into your room, you may relax by a crackling log fire with Cygnet tea or take a leisurely stroll around the Cotswold village of Bibury. Join our General Manager for a glass of chilled Champagne and canapés served in the Bar before you sit down to a festive candlelit dinner in our newly refurbished Brassiere. After dinner a ten minute walk along the River Coln brings you to the picturesque St Mary’s Church for Midnight Mass. Warm mince pies and mulled wine await your return to the hotel.

Christmas Day

Start the day with a traditional English breakfast in the Brassiere. The rest of the morning may be spent at your leisure while our Head Chef Shaun and his brigade prepare a Christmas Day lunch to be remembered, including the traditional roasted Christmas turkey. After all the excitement, you are welcome to retire to the bar or take an afternoon stroll around the lovely village of Bibury. The day draws to a close with a delicious light buffet supper served in the Brassiere.

Boxing Day
After breakfast you may spend the day at your leisure, perhaps taking part in the famous Bibury Duck Race. Join in the Christmas spirit and cheer on the ducks to raise money for local charities. Relax during the afternoon with Cygnet tea by one of our crackling fires. In the evening dinner will be served in the Brasserie.

27th December
After a full English breakfast we wish you farewell. Alternatively take advantage of our extended nights stay offer.

Extend your Stay

Arrive earlier or leave later and enjoy an extended stay with our special Christmas offer from £75 per person per night, which includes dinner, accommodation and full English breakfast.
