Superior Double or Twin Rooms

Our superior double or twin rooms are spacious and comfortable with lovely décor. These rooms are located in the Main House and Coach House, and each one has an en-suite bathroom (well-stocked with luxurious Molton Brown toiletries) and some even offer views to the front of the hotel.

Silkwood Double or Twin Rooms

Located in the beautiful Cotswold-stone Silkwood Court, just a short stroll from the Main House; these bedrooms are contemporary in style with air conditioning and plenty of tea and coffee to enjoy. Some Silkwood rooms even have their own garden terrace.

Accessible Rooms (Lime & Pine)

Located in the beautiful Cotswold-stone Silkwood Court, just a short stroll from the Main House; these rooms are designed to be accessible for wheelchair users with a wet-room style bathroom and grab rails. These bedrooms are available with double or twin beds and boast a stylish, contemporary look - some even have their own garden terrace.

Ash Suite

Located in the beautiful Cotswold-stone Silkwood Court, just a short stroll from the Main House; The Ash Suite features a stylish lounge, separate bedroom which can be set as a twin or king size double bed and beautiful en-suite bathroom generously stocked with Molton Brown toiletries.

Family Room

Located in the charming Main House, the family room consists of one double room with an adjoining double or twin-bedded room. Comfortable and spacious; the family room boasts a classic country style and an en-suite bathroom with luxurious Molton Brown toiletries.

Gamekeeper's Cottage

Game Keeper’s is a luxurious Cotswold stone cottage that sits adjacent to the main hotel. Inside you’ll find a spacious bedroom with striking feature bed, a luxurious bathroom, separate walk-in double shower room and a cosy lounge which overlooks a beautiful secluded garden. The secluded garden is your own private retreat, complete with a hot tub!

Magnolia Suite

Located in the beautiful Cotswold-stone Silkwood Court, just a short stroll from the Main House; Magnolia is a contemporary suite boasting its own garden terrace with a private hot tub! What’s more, the stylish lounge is the perfect spot to relax and the spacious en-suite bathroom is generously stocked with Molton Brown toiletries.

Accessibility

Outlined below is some information that we hope will ensure you enjoy your visit to The Hare and Hounds Hotel, regardless of whether your life is affected by a medical condition, disability, impairment or learning difficulty.

Before you arrive
Reservations and enquiries can be made on our website, by phone or by email. 

When you arrive
Limited car parking is available at the front of the hotel (including 1 accessible parking bay), outside Jack Hare’s Bar (front left-hand side of the building)  There is plenty of additional parking available in the Woodland car park at the rear of the hotel, although this is some distance from reception. The pathway is firm and suitable for wheelchair users.

The entrance to the hotel is on ground level with a slight slope up to the front door, but no steps to negotiate. We will be delighted to collect your luggage from your car and deliver it to your room.

Reception
The Reception desk is inside and to the left of the front door on ground level.

There is a low-level table and comfortable chairs inside and to the right of the front door where you can check in if this is more convenient.

Public Areas
All public areas throughout the hotel are on ground floor level, on flat ground, with no steps to negotiate.

The main stairway to bedrooms inside the hotel building is opposite the reception desk.

There is no lift to the upper floors.

The upper corridors are well lit and carpeted. The rooms are arranged on the 1st and 2nd floors. There are a number of rises and falls in the level of corridors throughout the main building accessed by one or two small steps.

All doors throughout the hotel are wide enough for wheelchair access.

The accessible toilet facility is on the ground floor opposite the reception.

Jack Hare’s Bar, Beaufort Restaurant.

There is ample moveable seating in both areas. Chairs in the restaurant are without arms, but we will provide a chair with arms on request.

Background music is played in both areas.

Waiter service is offered in both areas.

Both areas have slightly subdued lighting and candlelight during the evening.

Accommodation
There are 8 bedrooms on the ground floor outside the main building in the Cottage, Coach House and Silkwood Court. The 2 rooms in Silkwood Court have spacious bathrooms equipped with grab rails and wet rooms.

Bathrooms are on the same level as bedrooms.

The Fire Alarm is bells. Assistance will be given if evacuation is necessary.

Function Suite and Conference rooms.
The Westonbirt Function Suite is on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible.

The conference rooms are on the first floor and are not suitable for wheelchair users or any person with walking difficulties.

Additional Information
Well behaved dogs and service dogs are welcome.  There is no charge for service dogs.

The fire bells will ring continuously if an evacuation is needed. Please let us know on arrival if you require assistance with evacuation.

We would be pleased to provide larger print menus. Please let us know on arrival if you would like this service.

Sustainability

Cotswold Inns & Hotels is committed to working in a sustainable way and take care to reduce, re-use and recycle. We are continually working to improve our standards, which include:

  • Using low energy lighting
  • Switching off all equipment when not in use, where possible
  • Only lighting log fires during cooler weather
  • Using local suppliers for food, drink and other consumables where we can
  • Composting garden waste, recycling paper and card and sending cooking oil to be converted to biodiesel
  • Asking guests to conserve water and switch off TVs when not in use
  • Replacing towels when requested
  • Supporting the local community by offering sponsorship and raffle prizes, as well as discounted rates for local businesses needing accommodation.

Terms & Conditions

Making a booking
By making a booking you are confirming that you are authorised to do so on behalf of all persons named in the booking and you are acknowledging that all members of your party agree to be bound by these Booking Terms & Conditions. When your booking has been made a confirmation will be sent to you by email using the email address that you have supplied, or by post. Booking confirmations are subject to the availability of accommodation at the hotel. You should carefully check the details of your confirmation as soon as you receive it. You must contact Cotswold Inns and Hotels Ltd immediately if any of the details are incorrect or incomplete. We will always endeavour to rectify any inaccuracies or accommodate any alterations you wish to make to your booking. We cannot accept liability for any inaccuracies that are not brought to our attention within seven days of issuing your confirmation, nor can we accept responsibility for inaccurate information that you have supplied.

Paying for your booking
At the time of booking, card details will be required to guarantee your reservation. In some instances, a deposit or full non-refundable pre-payment may be required at the time of booking, or at a stated date prior to your arrival. The amount of payment required at the time of booking will be advised to you when making your booking. In all cases full payment will be due on departure from the hotel unless prior written agreement has been received by Cotswold Inns and Hotels Ltd. Unless stated as part of your booking, additional items such as (but not limited to) the cost of external telephone calls, meals, drinks, items from the mini-bar and travel expenses, are not included in the price of your stay. If you incur any such additional costs you must settle the sum involved prior to your departure from the hotel.

Price changes
Cotswold Inns and Hotels Ltd reserve the right to increase or decrease the price of unsold breaks at any time. The price of your chosen break will be confirmed when your booking is made and, with the exception of any errors, we will not increase this price once it has been confirmed. We reserve the right to correct any errors in advertised and confirmed prices and will do so as soon as we become aware of an error. We will notify you of any price discrepancies relating to your booking should they arise, but we strongly advise you to check that the final price of your booking is correct before making your final confirmation.

Amendments to your booking
You should notify us of any amendments to your confirmed booking by telephone or in writing as soon as possible. Amendments are subject to availability and those made within the 74-hour cancellation period (see below) may be subject to cancellation charges.

Cancellations
In order to avoid cancellation and/or non-arrival charges, guests should observe Cotswold Inns and Hotels Ltd’ cancellation policy, which is up to 2pm three days prior to arrival. This includes advance cancellation of any supplementary activities or tickets that may have been issued. Failure to cancel in advance will result in a charge equivalent to the value of your booked stay charged to your credit or debit card. If you have paid a deposit, made full payment or paid for any supplements – the sum may be non-refundable. Please check with the hotel at time of cancellation. We strongly recommend that guests seek appropriate travel insurance cover in case of any unforeseen circumstances arising causing a need for you to cancel your reservation.

Whatever the occasion, and whoever the lucky person is, our Cotswold Inns and Hotels gift vouchers make the perfect present.

Share an overnight stay at your favourite hotel, treat someone to Afternoon Tea, or give them the gift of choice with our “one size fits all” monetary vouchers. All our gift vouchers can be emailed or posted, with the optional addition of a glossy gift box to make them that extra bit special.

Dogs Welcome

We love man’s best friend and we have a sneaky suspicion that you probably do too which is why we’re proud to be a dog friendly hotel. With acres of our own gardens and Westonbirt Arboretum for neighbours, we are home to doggy heaven with plenty of walks to explore and scents to be sniffed out.

We love having dogs to stay here at The Hare and Hounds Hotel and have ‘plenty of room at the inn’ with a selection of specially allocated rooms to sleep you and pooch comfortably during your stay.
