Celebrate your wedding in the heart of Westonbirt, near Tetbury, at The Hare and Hounds Hotel. Set within acres of gardens and woodland, and with neighbours including the National Arboretum and Royal Highgrove Estate, it’s a truly memorable Cotswold setting.

Dating back to 1854, the hotel is full of character – original fireplaces, bay windows, cosy snugs, and lounges. Couples enjoy exclusive use of one wing, a private bar, a dedicated guest entrance, and direct access to manicured gardens.

With 42 charming bedrooms for your guests and Game Keeper’s Cottage for the Bride and Groom (super king bed + private hot tub), everything is ready for a perfect day. Carefully tailored menus, plenty of fizz, and a dedicated team ensure your wedding is as special as you imagined.

Wedding Spaces

  • Westonbirt Room

    The Westonbirt Room is our largest space, seating up to 120 guests for the ceremony and wedding breakfast, and accommodating up to 150 for your evening reception. With its neutral colour scheme and woodland-inspired wallpaper, it’s already beautiful – but just wait until we’ve given it the personal touch, dressing the room with your carefully chosen accessories!

    Just outside the Westonbirt Room, you’ll find your own private bar with a small seating area and direct access to the garden. The Westonbirt bar area also boasts its own entrance, providing a real wow-factor for evening reception guests – especially when decorated with quirky signs, tea lights and bunting.

    You are welcome to have your ceremony, wedding breakfast, evening reception (or all three!) in the Westonbirt Room, and can rest assured that however you’d like your wedding set up on the day, our experienced team will make everything runs smoothly.

  • Beaufort Lounge & Restaurant

    With a high beamed ceiling and stunning views out to the garden, the Beaufort Restaurant is a beautiful space to host your ceremony for up to 120 or wedding breakfast for up to 80 – exclusively yours until 5.30pm. The Beaufort Restaurant is effortlessly stylish, with large mirrors to reflect the natural light, original log fireplace and impressive wine feature wall!

    Just outside the Restaurant, you’ll find the Beaufort Lounge – a cosy, contemporary space reserved exclusively for your guests to gather before and after the ceremony, complete with comfortable couches and access to the terrace and gardens.

  • Breeze House & Garden

    Our acres of garden and woodland are beautifully manicured with immaculate lawns, hidden pathways and beds of wild flowers. Not only are our grounds a wonderful backdrop for your wedding photos, but they are also home to our timber-framed Breeze House, which is perfect for al fresco ceremonies of up to 120 guests.

  • Bedrooms

    With 42 classic country bedrooms and plenty of parking for all, there’s no need for carriages at midnight after your wedding.

    Your guests can choose from cosy Cotswold bedrooms in the Main House and Coach House or something a little more spacious and modern in Silkwood Court. We even have a number of dog-friendly rooms in case you want to bring a four-legged friend along!

    Breakfast is included for all staying guests, with a delicious choice of full English, continental and a la carte dishes.
